Hydronic heating uses heated water circulating through supply and return piping to radiators, hydronic baseboards or radiant-floor heating. In a closed-loop heating system, that water returns to the heat source. It is separate from the domestic hot and cold water supplied to fixtures.
The water side of boiler piping
Depending on the system and agreed scope, water-side work can involve the make-up water connection, pressure-reducing components and backflow protection. Filling and pressurizing the loop, and air removal or purging where applicable, are considered as part of the system requirements.
Repairs and modifications around the system
We assess existing piping, heating zones and access before recommending pipe replacement, leak repairs or renovation modifications. The service described here is water-side piping; gas fitting, burner repairs and electrical boiler work are outside this stated scope.
QUICK ANSWERS
A few practical questions.
Is hydronic water the same as domestic hot water?
No. A heating loop circulates water for space heating. Domestic water piping serves taps, showers and other fixtures.
Can you modify radiator or baseboard piping?
We provide water-side piping modifications for applicable systems, subject to an assessment of the existing installation.
Does this include gas or electrical boiler repairs?
This service covers water-side hydronic piping. Gas fitting, burner repair and electrical boiler work are not included in this stated scope.
